For All Users
Respect and Courtesy: Treat all users with respect regardless of their background, gender, nationality, or beliefs.
Safety First: Prioritize safety at all times and report any concerns immediately to PuraRide support.
Accurate Information: Provide truthful and accurate personal information during registration and maintain an up-to-date profile.
Communication: Maintain clear and timely communication regarding ride details, changes, or cancellations.
Zero Tolerance Policy: No harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate behavior will be tolerated.
For PuraDrivers
Vehicle Maintenance: Ensure your vehicle is clean, well-maintained, and meets all safety requirements.
Documentation: Maintain valid driver's license, insurance, and required permits.
Punctuality: Arrive on time and follow the agreed-upon route.
Safe Driving: Follow all traffic laws and maintain a safe driving speed.
Transparency: Be clear about ride costs and any additional charges upfront.
For PuraRiders
Timely Arrival: Be ready at the designated pickup location at the agreed time.
Respect for Property: Treat the driver's vehicle with care and follow their rules.
Payment: Complete payment promptly through the approved platform methods.
Cancellation Policy: Provide reasonable notice for cancellations according to platform guidelines.
Consequences of Violation
Warning System: Minor violations will receive warnings through the platform.
Account Suspension: Repeated or serious violations may result in temporary or permanent account suspension.
Legal Action: Criminal behavior or severe violations will be reported to appropriate authorities.
By using PuraRide, all users agree to abide by this code of conduct. The platform reserves the right to modify these guidelines as needed to ensure the safety and satisfaction of our community.

Terms & Conditions
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using PuraRide's platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access or use our services.
2. User Registration
Account Creation: Users must provide accurate, complete, and current information during registration
Account Security: Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials
Age Requirement: Users must be at least 18 years old to use the service
3. Service Description
PuraRide provides a platform connecting drivers and passengers for carpooling services in Costa Rica. We do not provide transportation services directly and are not responsible for the actual transportation services provided by drivers.
4. Payment Terms
Service Fees: PuraRide charges an 10% commission to drivers and an 5% service fee to passengers
Payment Processing: All payments must be processed through our approved payment methods
Refunds: Refund policies apply as per our cancellation guidelines
5. User Responsibilities
Drivers: Must maintain valid licenses, insurance, and vehicle documentation
Passengers: Must provide accurate pickup/drop-off information and adhere to booking policies
All Users: Must comply with local laws and PuraRide's Code of Conduct
6. Liability
6.1 Platform Role
PuraRide is a technology platform that facilitates connections between independent drivers (“PuraDrivers”) and passengers (“PuraRiders”) for carpooling purposes. PuraRide does not own, operate, or manage vehicles and does not provide transportation services. All rides are provided directly by drivers at their own responsibility.
6.2 Assumption of Risk
By using the platform, all users acknowledge and accept that traveling in a private vehicle carries inherent risks, including but not limited to accidents, injuries, property loss, or disputes with other users. Users agree that they participate at their own risk.
6.3 Insurance Responsibility
Drivers are solely responsible for maintaining valid insurance coverage that complies with Costa Rican law and covers their vehicle, passengers, and third-party liability.
PuraRide does not provide insurance for drivers or passengers.
Passengers acknowledge that they may not be covered by a driver’s insurance and are solely responsible for assessing and accepting this risk before using the service.
6.4 Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PuraRide shall not be held liable for:
Personal injury, death, property damage, or financial loss arising from a ride or user interaction
Actions, negligence, or misconduct of drivers or passengers
Traffic violations, delays, or cancellations
Service disruptions, technical issues, or unauthorized account use
In any event, PuraRide’s total liability to a user shall be limited to the total amount of fees paid by that user to PuraRide in the preceding three (3) months.
6.5 Indemnification
Users agree to indemnify and hold harmless Pura Ride, its affiliates, employees, and partners from any claims, demands, or damages (including legal fees) arising from:

Interaction or dispute with another user
6.6 Dispute Resolution Between Users
PuraRide may, at its discretion, assist in resolving disputes between drivers and passengers, but is under no obligation to do so. Any disputes must first be reported to PuraRide support. If not resolved, they remain the sole responsibility of the users involved.
7. Cancellation Policy
Free Cancellation Window: Up to 24 hours before scheduled ride
Late Cancellation Fee: Applies within 24 hours of scheduled ride
No-Show Policy: Full charge applies for no-shows
8. Privacy and Data Protection
User data collection and processing are governed by our Privacy Policy, complying with applicable data protection laws.
9. Intellectual Property
All PuraRide content, features, and functionality are exclusive property of PuraRide and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
10. Modification of Terms
PuraRide reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Users will be notified of significant changes, and continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of modified terms.
11. Termination
PuraRide reserves the right to terminate or suspend accounts for violations of these terms, inappropriate behavior, or any other reason deemed necessary.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Costa Rica. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Costa Rica.
